We are looking for a candidate with a completed degree in the direction of Associate Degree in IT Service Management or mbo level 4 in Computer Science to join our IT department

Do you have at least 4 years of relevant work experience as an IT Support Engineer? With us, you can earn a gross monthly salary of up to € 4,505- bruto per month.

Department

Department IT has outsourced the management of its data centre, infrastructure and applications to various external co-sourcing partners. For the designated ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Configuration, Patch and Change Management), the IT Support Engineer fulfils a role aimed at providing IT Deskside support and directing the services provided by co-sourcing partners with the aim of executing and optimising internal service delivery to the Business according to SLA.

Job description

In the complex and dynamic Energy market environment, it is crucial that the organisation is able to respond quickly to changes and opportunities. The IT Support Engineer ensures that necessary changes and innovations in IT, processes, products and services can be implemented quickly and effectively. The work includes the support of daily operations combined with changes and innovation.

The IT Support Engineer is the central point of contact for the correct handling of all questions, incidents, problems and changes in accordance with ITIL by the co-sourcing partners. He/she holds regular consultations with the co-sourcing partners to monitor the performance and progress of the relevant incidents/problems and changes and make adjustments where necessary with the aim of executing and optimising the internal service provision to the Business in accordance with SLA.

Your key tasks?

  • Installing and configuring client computer systems. printers, scanners and network equipment.

  • Responding to IT support requests (incidents, problems and changes) from internal customers and recording these requests in the JIRA helpdesk system.

  • Consulting with internal customers to diagnose and resolve (or have resolved) software, network or hardware problems.

  • Providing IT technical support on-site or via remote access systems.

  • Based on business requirements/questions, drafts the technical requirements as input for the solution groups to implement the business requirement/question;

  • Co-checks the quality of the delivered IT changes and ensures that they meet the defined criteria (requirements).

  • Shares responsibility for initiating IT process improvements across the board and oversees the connection with processes outside the IT domain concerned.

  • Co-responsible for day-to-day operations with regard to architecture, infrastructure and security. Adequately solving and handling incidents, questions and problems within the set timelines. 

Education / work and thinking level

  • Completed Associate Degree (AD) IT Service Management or a completed MBO level 4 programme in the field of IT.

  • Good in speaking Dutch and English.

Knowledge, experience and skills

  • Knowledge of and experience with ITIL processes and helpdesk software systems (preferably JIRA).

  • ITIL, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID.

  • Has good communication and negotiation skills to manage co-sourcing partners. Knowledge of used IT applications and the connection between different solutions and business processes.

  • Has up-to-date knowledge of IT developments (including Cloud techniques and applications).

  • Has excellent analytical and communication skills (Dutch and English, written and spoken) and can apply these at various levels.

  • Works in a structured way and is stress-resistant.

  • Demonstrable sound IT knowledge and experience in Energy (trading) business is a plus.
