EP NL Sloe Power Plant

The Sloe power plant is a subsidiary of EP NL and consists of two identical units that can each generate 470 MW of electricity. The plant has an efficiency of over 60% and is very flexibly deployable. This makes it possible to contribute to a stable grid with an ever-changing energy demand. Thus, the Sloe power plant of EP NL plays an important role in the energy transition.

As part of the EP NL group, the Sloe power plant is one of the most modern power plants in the world. The challenging work environment allows you to grow both personally and technically to a high level. The position not only calls upon your (potential) professional expertise but also on your ability to collaborate constantly with teammates and other technical disciplines.

The department

The maintenance team is responsible for keeping the installations in good condition from 2 specialties: ECI and mechanical maintenance. This requires constant vigilance, strict checks and technical analyses. Under the guidance of Team Leader Wim Harthoorn, the 3 Technicians plan the minor and major maintenance, often carried out by contractors. The ECI Technicians resolve malfunctions and carry out maintenance work in the electrical, control & instrumentation (EC&I) field.

What you offer

You have experience in a maintenance position within an industrial environment, and you want to keep growing professionally. Together with your colleagues, you will prepare, budget, plan and carry out (or have carried out) stop and maintenance work in consultation with clients. You assess work for urgency and guarantee the quality of inspections based on findings reports and history of the equipment. You ensure that repair work is carried out correctly. You know how to locate and solve malfunctions in a timely manner and participate in project groups to implement improvements. You are familiar with systems such as Distributed Control System (DCS), PLCs and/or other data processing systems.

You are a real team player and know when to show initiative and when to communicate with your Team leader. In addition to working in a team, you can work well independently. You always think about improvement and efficiency and report clearly and carefully. Safety and quality are your top priority. You have a good command of the Dutch and English language, both verbally and in writing. You are willing to enrol in the call out duty – a team of four.

Profile

An MBO-4 education (Middle Vocational Education) in electrical engineering or Mechatronics, supplemented with courses in the field of electrical, control & instrumentation maintenance and work preparation. English language proficiency and preferably five years of experience in a similar position in an industrial setting. Good at working together within a small team and enthusiastic about following additional education and training. You have IT skills and are familiar with the most common system applications or quickly master them. You live at a reasonable distance from EP NL Sloe Centrale. (max 1 hour)
